    Manus Inventor?????
Its the work of a whole lot of his students and others, according to what I heard and read on the Net.

...and they cost Lakhs ( $25,000, last I saw) !!! And for what?? Many colleges have bought the Manus, and are claiming that THEY designed it , too! Whats going on ?????

Have you guys heard of the KHR-2HV ?? Costs about $1000. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqlawTD_9B0

....and FIRA India is a 1 man show??? I dont see any organisation or address so far anywhere. Looks like Robhatah is the whole and sole owners of FIRA India. The FIRA India and the Bangalore Robocup is SOooo hush-hush!!

And please stop posting with different names on this Forum!!!!

It is SO obvious- that you are ALL one and the same person

    ( no, not you, Vigyan!)

There is no need to do hard marketing of Manus and other robos with false names and games......

It was quite too obvious that the robatah guys are posting with different names.

Nothing against them, but the winner of so much awards doesnt have to do this.

going into the technical stuff - i have seen both manus and genus personally, but i dont think they can be compared with the KHRs when it comes to stability, price and aesthetics. I mean, the KHRs are too good @ less than 1500 USD.

Manus used HS5995s (or was it 5955??)last time i saw it, a year or two back. with the cmu cam and the ISOpod, it comes to 2500USD without the frame. I think that was on sale for 14000 USD, as i learn from the link:

    http://robots.engadget.com/2005/08/0...-humanoid-robo

I would give my vote to the KHRs, or is there something that i dont see?

I remember someone posting at RI a KHR video long time back, was it vivek?
    somersaults, and dances.

you can get the kit priced at 1299 USD.. assemble, and there you are.

    .... I didnt do it ! ....

Sorry guys, there are some people out there, who is doing this to spoil the reputation of the company.
well, KHRs, I have also seen. For a humanoid it is necessary that, the body and the legs are in proportions of that of a humanoid. Thats what made Honda Asimov a humanoid and Mech RC a toy.In the case of KHRs the big and thick legs make it stable, which is not proportional to the body. I dont call it a proper humanoid. Well in this case, my votes goes to bioloid.
I think, people should start reading more on International journal on humanoid robotics, understand why stanford, NUS, Harbin, Woohan and many other universities are associated with Robhatah. and Plastic geared servomotors cost only INR 600, stop judging the quality of the humanoid on the basis of the flips, or functionalities it can perform.
The comparison is wrong, If you had compared the Nimbros, or osakas or many other humanoids, I could have understood that, The comments are valid. In KHRs, or Bioloid's or Mech RC's case, they are not valid
