Default Small Bench Top drill press in delhi ?

Any idea where the sell small bench top drill press ?
When I was in college, one of the labs had a small one they used to drill holes in PCB.

Now I need one to drill straight holes in acrylic sheets.
The smallest I could find is about 1.5 feet tall. My parents will throw me out if I buy it.

Why not get a hand held electric drill , it can usually do the job.

And its cheap and dosnt occupy much space .

    Thanks for replying Vikas !!
I have an electric drill already.

Unfortunately drilling straight using it has proved to be quite impossible at least for me. Strength/softness of the material to be drilled makes its even more difficult.

A bench press should let me concentrate on a lot less things I hope.

On the net I also see tools like ("http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00953169000P?keyword=drill+press")

Wondering if anything like that or a complete small drill press is available in or around Delhi ?

Not to promote by blog or anything , but after seeing your post , i've put up some pictures and a video of a mini hand drill that i made myself to drill PCBs. It can drill acrylic as well. I have added a video of it drilling a piece of acrylic.

    Here is the link :

I dont if this was what you are looking for. But anyway , maybe you will get some new ideas from it...

    thanks for your post suhas.
But I am looking for a drill press not a hand drill.
I already have a hand drill so dont need to build one by hand :-)

A drill press is different. See here ...
