    Hi Guys,

    Sorry for not following the post and causing all trouble.I found combination of USBasp and AVRdude is much better than pony prog and parallel cable.

    @Bilmindar
    If your microcontroller is not responding after setting the fuse bits, it indicated that something has gone wrong. I saw many student which confuse between fuse programmed (means 0) and unprogrammed (means 1) and end up screwing uC. Well even though uC gets screwed because of this, it is still possible to recover that uC by providing it external clock. I will write detailed post on whole fuse bits business and how to recover apparently dead uC.

    Kindly let me know besides Tiny2313, which other devices you are interested in (to change fuse bits? ) ?

    NOTE: There is no fuse bit setting for tiny2313 which divides the clock by 4. Available setting is divide by 8.

    @Susham
    Parallel port programmer doesn't work for some microcontrollers:
    Thats because Pony Prog generated SCK signal has frequency higher than default microcontroller fuse bits can handle. This frequency is not controllable in pony prog.

    @electrom
    I didn't noticed your second last post...
    great at least u responded...

    I failed two Attiny IC
    after that i again build a new programmer this time it is

    Same from the xs4all

    It worked and i recovered one IC of attiny2313

    I also had a ATMEGA8 which was new and worked well with this programmer...
    Now i have only one dead Attiny2313
    I will resume the project today (was paused because of HTPC project which is complete now)....

    Difference between programmer shown on my blog page and above one is that 100E resistor and the capacitor. Can you try adding that to original one and tell me whether it works ?
