    Default Your Fav MCU

    Hi

    Though MCU selection is based on Application requirements , I just wanted to know which MCU u guys like/use the most.

    For me it ATMega8 , Has everything and is sufficient for most small projects and is dam n cheap.

    So Atmega8 is the one i use a lot.

    ATmega8 is my choice too!

    Other useful MCU is ATmega32.

    @vikas: I used to stick with AT89x5x(Late 90's), then PIC16F72 (28 pin) and the PIC16F876 (40 Pin). Now I stick with the Tiny15(8 pin), Tiny2313 (20 Pin), Mega8 (28 Pin) and Mega32 (40 Pin) for general projects, and PIC18F4550 (40 pin) and 18F2550 (28 Pin) where communication with the PC is required. If the Project involves lots of processing and storing lots of stings/images on the chip then I use the ARM7 LPC2138.

    If I had to choose the one which I have used the most from the above, I'd say its the ATMEGA32.
