Default Suggestions for next project needed !!!

    Hi,

I'm pretty new to robotics and have recently completed a line follower. My project used the ATMEGA 16 micro-controller.

I'm looking to do a new project, something which isn't too complicated.

    Please give me your suggestions...

    1. Make it follow walls.
    2. Teach how to navigate a Grid.
    3. Try connecting a camera to it......

dont directl jump on camera'first make line follower than upgrage it to a grid follower, then add mechanism say a simple pick an place then add edge avoider qualities in it,then add encoders and now stand and see machine....... it is an intelligent enough machine simple enough to make and easy enough to test..
now you can go for micromouse and then go for vision robotics....

thats the best way i guess.. it will cover all your areas witout spending too much money and energy

Propeller clock might be a good exercise and a novelty item but has no application whatsoever.

you dont even need to change the components, just change the sensor arrangement and use the robot for obstacle avoidance, and then maybe obstacle seeking, and then maybe wall following, mapping, it all depends on your imagination..

    Default Obstacle Avoidance and Mapping

Since you are already familiar with line following, and you have a mobile robot made - the best thing would be to build on it

add a few ultrasonic sensors, and you will be able to avoid obstacles and navigate around and build a map-- simple yet effective!

    good luck
