    Yes , i too love avr and would anyday dump x51 for them. go with avr ... for 2k you will have the full robot with a whole lot of functionality.

    i have vista in my pc
    do i need to change it to xp bcz most of the devices i have seen dont support it

    Vista is for the Tatas and the Ambanis...... it is NOT student friendly. Open source software may have a lot of problems, although people claim the opposite. Go back to XP, its easier on the drivers and other useful stuff, learn and then think of higher OS.
    Better still, get into Linux !!!

    More nimber of threads are ending up like this, with vendors highlighting their products and blah blah, !!
    It is good that there are a lot of online shops, but vendors should not take advantage of a community driven forum, for their benefits.
