Default Where can I get PCbs in single / small quantities fabricated for cheap

I am based in Mumbai and nearly every board house I approached wanted large orders or were very expensive.

Any body know of any board house in Mumbai who does sampling and prototype work? Preferably along the western line.

Any contact details or rates would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Shaunak.

Define "Cheap" .... Its about 50 USD for 3 PCB's in the US as a prototyping charge.

When I say cheap, I speak in Indian contexts.

    Lets say 150 bucks a 3x4" PCB?
    edit: Ok, mabe 300 bucks.

I found one called Artronix in Saki Naka who charges 3.50 per sq. cm. But the minimum order is 100 sq cm/ 4 boards

Note: When I say western line, I speak of the local train network ie. Churchgate to Virar

If it is a single sided pcb, why don't you try tonner transfer mehod or else if you have double layer pcb then make it single sided and use same method.

It is worth if you are making pcb just to check functionality of circuit you have designed.
The rate you are talking about is very difficult to get and in addition to that you have two filters one western line and cost
Share among us the location if you suceeds in finding one

    Try www.pcbpower.com.
    For a double sided 5 X 5 cm its about 160 Rs.

    BUT, the catches are ...
    1. taxes and shipping extra
    2. Assuming 5 pieces order.
    3. 30 days wait

Still, go to the website, try changing choices and see what price you come to.
Do tell us how it goes.

150 bucks is simply too tight budget.

A quality PCB with Solder Mask and Silk screen will cost minimum 300 for films and some extra set up plus per PCB cost. When I think of making any PCB I allocate minimum 1000 bucks for it.

In that budget you can enjoy wasting time! (which is much precious)

Like said above I would also say a minimum of RS 1000 is required. Most manufacturers are not interested below that.

    Then I think etching at home using Toner Transfer would be a better idea;

That is till I am ready to order a large number of boards or need very fine traces.
Also, I think I will stay on the look out with an upped budget. [Say 300 a board]

@avinash_g: How do you get your films made?

"very fine traces" costs a lot more. They are only for industrial production. They require AOI and other tests.

For them a Prototype PCB costing 10,000 is cheap. (Compared to wasting a million faulty units).

The Rs 1000 budget PCBs I was talking is only for simply through hole PCBs. Fine SMT PCBs costs much more.

Better you go for home made PCB (although it is a very tedious job)
