    pkshima,

See gallery (http://www.flyingrobot.co.in/index.php/gallery) for our creation.......
BDCM, ESC, RC, Carbon square fiber tube, etc imported from Hong Kong....(see Resources)
Propeller (Counter Rotating Pair) from Canada, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) from US

See PCBs.....These are the test pcbs.....

Check 'Technical' (http://www.flyingrobot.co.in/index.php/technical) for our design......

See attachment for screen-shot of sample programs created during these project periods.....

This project has not yet completed....only 80% completed.....Still it is under development.....

Tell nw, is it assembled a kit?

It is a gentlemans etiquette to quote the original resources .....
I don't believe that a student can think of 'exotic' engineering ideas by themselves and execute them, without relevant sources.

NOR did Einstein, for that matter.

But....... quoting the original authors' work is a must. I think everyone should follow this practice.stringently. MS papers abroad are screened quite stringently and they must declare that their project does not violate intellectual property rights in any manner. Plagiary ( that is implementation of and claim of an idea, process or experiment without qouting the original Author/s) is treated by the student being thrown out of the University.

AND....... I have seen this paper, way back in 1992. You could have at least changed the name

While the project is good and you have done a good job of it, it will gain you respect if you give credit to the man who made it first.

does it fly?? in last snap is it flying? Then its great..
so you use just readymade electronics? Anyways what ever we do we cannot get quality of readymade stuff. And if readymade stuff is afordable i found no offense using it and concenrate more on coding part.

Ya it's flying...electronics are not redymade....we fabricated pcbs and programmed....89C51RD2 is used as master micro controller and 89C2051 is used for generating pwm....now it's stability is too low....at present there have a chance to crash.....now we are concentrating to achieve 100% stability....

    You are correct Vikas
The original resource here : ftp://ftp.eecs.umich.edu/people/johannb/paper99.pdf

This is not our idea. We just implemented this idea for our final year project in a low cost way (below INR 30,000). There are many students implemented same idea. There are some similar projects found in India

    Similar Projects in India
    1. Delhi College of Engineering (http://www.uavindia.com/) – Cost Rs 50 lakh
    2. IIT MADRAS (http://cfi.iitm.ac.in/iarc/index.html) - Cost Rs 17 lakh
    3. 3 idiots (Film - Aamir Khan, Releasing date : 25/12/2009)
    4. DRDO in DefExpo 2010 – Feb 17 (http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/...100322203.html) - Cost Rs 20 lakh

Actually we got idea from this video while searching for a UAV project.

We found many types of innovating UAVs, one of them is Coanda effect flying saucer. We found that quad copter model is more stable than others and selected that.

Our project duration was also too low, only 3 months. 16 days stolen by Great Indian Customs.

At the time of naming there are many names comes in mind. Quadcopter UAV, Quad rotor UAV, microdrone, drone heli, eyebot, hovercraft, etc
No one is unique.... We think HoverBot is unique and took this for proper search engine optimization.
Hover - Remain in one place in the air.
    Bot - short for "robot"

We used above article for temporary filling of Home page. It will removed as fast as possible
