Wink Not much activity on RI these days

    Hi,
I have been noticing that number of posts on RI have been dwindling.......Is this the seasonal variation(not many college competetion) or indication of something else?

Probably people have started realizing that this hobby is not as rosy as it seems initially......it could also be that peole prefer going to paid workshops as they get cerficates is return...........or probably financial meltdown has resulted is this trend

    My take:

    1. Moderated registrations
    2. People realizing that RI does not provide readymade solutions

In India Robotics is a short live hobby, mostly start at 2nd year of engg and ends after 4th!

Coz only between those day "it can pay return" i.e. prizes in competition.

Their are rarely any events before or after the college life.(I am NOT saying that you must do only for competition or academics, but most people are)

So the questions asked in RI is more or less same type limited to

"I am a starter please help"
"How to make a LFR or Obstacle avoider"
    "Final year engg project doubts"

    thats it!

Most people also don't know how to post in forum too! That makes senior reader hesitate to help. As forum helps only those who can help thyself.

It is not just the number of new threads that are decreasing, but also the number for good technical threads, which would be there before.

Now there are only people wanting to know how to get started and where to get parts.

I think the intelligent discussions have increased. SPAM is nearly 0 now.

Well all the senior members could post articles and videos like Avinash has been posting. I saw a video of Induino as well. If possible RI could possibly sponsor a design contest. I won't mind donating a few bucks for RI.

As pointed out ppl should post circuits and codes more frequently rather than just puting utube video links.
