    Default is avr better or pic??

    as a beginner i wud like 2 that is better(4 a beginner) 2 start with an AVR oR PIC....
    Further are the parallel Port programmers available on internet really that easy 2 make...
    plz guide ... im in a bit of fix..
    also guide me about a few beginner projects n tutorials..

    For a beginner, who has no prior experience in programming microcontrollers, the Arduino is supposedly the easiest to learn and use. The Arduino uses a AVR microcontroller. You don't even need a programmer to program the Arduino, just connect it to your computer using a USB or a serial cable and you can program it directly from the freely available Arduino IDE.
