Default No embedded systems vendors ? Should anyone attempt ?

I was thinking lately ... almost all the stuff i work on has to be imported .. from STM, dsPic, LCD's etc though there are vendors who are importing from spark fun , they charge a bomb and dont know what they are selling. Also they are anyhow selling after spark fun profits . And if you try to go though companies its even more expensive.

Do you think a market exists for stuff like -
    Touchscreens
Latest ARM boards ( Affordable )
    DSP board
    FPGA boards
    Debuggers / Programmers

If suppose if I or someone starts a shop will it work , target would be embedded system professionals ( with basic startup support/documentation/forum from our side).

It will be imported , repackaged and resold ... nothing will be developed here . But some basic local support and good pricing will be there.

Just wondering ... will it work.

It will, definitely work. Should have things in stock, and should be reasonably priced.

Not really sparkfun, Mainly carry stuff for professional development. Also mostly the high end boards.

Not really sparkfun , they sell everything under the sun . More specialized stuff for people who can spend , and want professional support .
