    Bridge Output Program



    An auxiliary program that calculates bridge outputs for six different Wheatstone
    bridge arrangements.

    Configurations
    Select from the six bridge configurations using the RADIO BUTTON:

    1 + v Arms, Axial/Bending Half-bridge circuit typically used in low cost transducers. Nonlinear.

    2 Arms, Bending/Shear Half-bridge circuit for low cost transducers as above except higher output and
    linear behavior.

    2 + 2v Arms, Axial/Bending Full-bridge circuit with two gages aligned with maximum principal strain and
    two Poisson gauges. Typically used on column transducers. Nonlinear.

    2 + 2v Arms, Bending Full-bridge circuit with two gauges aligned with maximum principal strain and two
    Poisson gauges. Typically used on bending beams. Linear.

    4 Arms, Differential Full-bridge circuit used on bending beams to cancel bending moments. All four gauges
    are aligned with the maximum principal strain but two gauges are mounted in area of “higher” strain than the other
    two. Bridge output is proportional to the difference in strain at the two gage locations irrespective of their actual
    strain magnitudes. Nonlinear.


    4 Arms, Bending/Shear Full-bridge circuit with four fully active gauges. Two gauges aligned with maximum
    principal tension strain and two gages aligned with maximum principal compression strain. Linear.
