    Default Digital Multimeter

    Hi friends,

I need to buy a digital multimeter, a basic one (no auto-ranging req.), should be capable of measuring current upto 10A (or higher) Pls suggest some models and the approx. price.

Anyone using MECO digital multimeter? (Model 603). I think it'll do the job. It has got the foll specs.

    DC 200mV-1000V
    AC 200mV-750V
    DC 200uA-20A
    AC 200uA-20A
    RES 200Ohms-200MOhms
    Audible continuity and diode check

I do remember that DMM suggested by vikas for abt Rs.150/- Could u pls give more details of that.

    Thanks

    Regds

Hey, i also wanted to buy a Digital Multimeter the other day in Hyd. That guy said that they were out-of-stock. But he said that the price was 250/- and I bet it wasn't an auto-sensing one....

Damn, this shop sure rips off ppl. I wonder how bad the other places in hyd are.....

Actually I am new to electronics  I never had to buy this stuff anytime before. So never knew about them. anyway I will check them out this weekend. One more thing, do we have to bargain a lot, do these ppl try to rip off unsuspecting customers? any precautions before I proceed to this RONALD shop? any pointers are appretiated.

I am terribly bad at bargaining.....

holycow, no need of any bargaining they quote resonable price, for example i brought
    89c51 for Rs.55
    89c52 for Rs.65

one more thing plz don't compare the rates with the shops in metros
in hyderabad its little costly than shops in metros

    regards
    satish.
